A Fair Usage Policy (FUP) is a framework used by internet service providers to manage network resources. Many ISPs reduce speeds after you consume a certain amount of data (e.g., after 100GB, speed drops to 1 Mbps). OneTouch Express does NOT do this on our standard plans.
However, we do maintain certain network management practices to ensure all customers get consistent, high-quality service.
2. Our No-FUP Promise
- ✅ No data cap — Use as much data as you want
- ✅ No speed throttling — Your plan speed is maintained throughout validity
- ✅ No peak-hour slowdowns — Consistent speeds day and night
- ✅ No hidden data limits — What you see is what you get
- ✅ Transparency — We publish our network management practices
This applies to all Home Broadband plans. Corporate and Leased Line plans have dedicated bandwidth with even stronger guarantees.
3. Network Management Practices
While we don't throttle individual users, we employ the following network management techniques for overall network health:
Traffic Prioritisation
- Real-time applications (VoIP calls, video conferencing) are prioritised over bulk downloads
- This ensures smooth calls even during high-traffic periods
Congestion Management
- During rare periods of network congestion, traffic may be balanced across multiple paths
- We continuously invest in capacity to minimise congestion
- We do NOT reduce your individual allocated speed during congestion
Security Filtering
- Malware and DDoS traffic is blocked at the network level
- Government-mandated website blocks are enforced as per DOT directives
4. Prohibited Usage Under FUP
The following activities violate our Fair Usage Policy and may result in service suspension:
- Commercial resale: Reselling or sharing your connection commercially (WiFi hotspot for money) without an ISP licence
- Network abuse: Deliberately consuming excessive bandwidth to degrade service for other customers
- DDoS attacks: Using your connection to launch attacks on other networks
- Crypto mining at scale: Large-scale cryptocurrency mining that degrades shared network resources
- Botnet participation: Allowing your connection to be part of a botnet
5. Speed Shaping Policy
| Plan Type | Data Limit | Post-limit Speed |
|---|---|---|
| Home Broadband (All Plans) | Unlimited | No throttling |
| Corporate Plans | Unlimited (dedicated) | No throttling |
| Leased Line | Unlimited (dedicated) | No throttling |
If you ever experience speeds significantly below your plan speed, please contact support — it's likely a technical issue, not speed throttling.
6. Peering & CDN Connectivity
OneTouch Express maintains direct peering relationships with major content providers and CDNs including Google, Netflix, Meta, Akamai, and Cloudflare. This ensures:
- Fast loading times for popular websites and streaming services
- Low latency for gaming and video calls
- Reduced packet loss on international routes
7. TRAI Net Neutrality Compliance
OneTouch Express strictly adheres to TRAI's Net Neutrality regulations:
- We do not block, throttle, or prioritise any specific application or website
- We do not offer "zero rating" for specific content providers
- All internet traffic is treated equally regardless of its source or destination
- We support an open, free, and equal internet for all users
